The Internet is still the “Wild, Wild, West” in many areas. Trust is more important than ever when it comes to Internet ad spend, business relationships and digital marketing.

The average drop in viewability between above the fold ads and below the fold ads is 84%. In one eye-tracking study the difference was found to be as high as 102%!

The graphic below is a heat map that shows the eye tracking study. Red indicates where users looked the most, yellow where they looked less, white areas got virtually no looks. The top black stripe indicates the page fold and additional black stripes represent each additional screen after scrolling.
